History

Seay Oil Company, Inc. was officially established August 1, 1995 as a Tennessee corporation with its’ offices located at 700 West 15th Street, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Seay Oil Company, Inc. purchased the assets and customer base of Hyde Oil Company, a BP jobber located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, with annual sales of approximately 1,000,000 gallons.

Immediately after August 1, 1995, the tempo of the business was altered to be more streamlined with emphasis of “eliminating the negative and accentuating the positive”.

Tankwagon fuel sales increased 400% and company operated convenience stores were established growing the total fuel sales to 5,000,000 gallons after the first year of business.

January 1999

Seay Oil Company, Inc. constructed new offices in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to accommodate its’ steadily increasing volume of business. Annual fuel volume grew to 10,000,000 gallons.

November 2000

Seay Oil Company, Inc. purchased the wholesale assets of Duke & Long Distributing located in Paducah, Kentucky.

March 2002

Seay Oil Company, Inc. purchased an office and warehouse in Paducah, Kentucky increasing volume to 30,000,000 gallons.

August 2005

Seay Transport, LLC was established in Nashville, Tennessee further increasing the annual volume to 50,000,000 gallons.

May 2007

Seay Oil Company, Inc. sells its’ company operated convenience stores and concentrates on its’ core business increasing annual volume to 75,000,000 gallons.

December 2008

Seay Oil Company, Inc. purchases the assets of Rail Petroleum located in Gallatin, Tennessee.

January 2015

Seay Oil Company, Inc. increases its’ sales staff consequently increasing the annual fuel and freight sales to 205,000,000 by the end of 2016.

Increases in fuel volume have been possible through steadily investing in customer sites bound by contract and preying upon less energetic competitors.
